VM Trophy: Assam fight back against Odisha

Cuttack, Dec 26, 2017 (Team OCA): 

After conceding a first-innings lead of 45 runs, host Assam were 221 for seven at stumps on the penultimate day of their three-day Vijay Merchant Trophy U-16 East Zone match against Odisha at Nurul Amin Stadium in Nagaon today. Assam now lead by 176 runs with three wickets intact.

Earlier, in reply to a paltry first-innings total of 74 by Assam, Odisha were all out for 119 after resuming at the overnight score of 101 for eight. In the second innings of Assam, Denish Das scored a half-century, while Sushil Barik and Bikash Naik scalped three wickets apiece for Odisha.
