Odisha U-19 women suffer 3rd loss

Cuttack, Nov 10, 2017 (Team OCA): 

Bengal thrashed Odisha by nine wickets in their fourth and last league match of the East Zone Women's Under-19 One-day League at JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi today. Put into bat, Odisha were bundled out for 71 in 49.1 overs. Bengal easily overhauled the target in 22 overs, losing only one wicket.

Batting debacle was the main reason for Odisha's defeat. Mr Extra turned out to be Odisha's top scorer, contributing 23 runs. This was the third defeat in a row for Odisha and they finished fourth in the five-team league with four points from as many matches. Host Jharkhand emerged champions with full 16 points from four wins, while Bengal finished runners-up with 12 points.
